Who is this for?

This adventure is suitable for fit & confident beginners and more experienced kayakers alike, and it is a lot of fun for families who are used to being active on the water. We paddle at a relaxed pace, and once we get to Seal Cove, more paddling that day is optional. The ocean conditions typically include moderate chop and wind. This is an exposed coast. The minimum age is 10, the recommended age is 12 and up – as long as everyone is confident in an ocean environment.

Seal Cove Itinerary

The Seal Cove Adventure takes you into Cape Chignecto Park, a very scenic place to paddle and camp. Launching from the red sands at Spicer’s Cove, the cliffs become increasingly dramatic as we paddle along the park’s shoreline.

Day 1

We explore the park’s stunning rock features for 2-3 hrs until we reach the secluded Seal Cove. Here, we’ll relax on the beach, have lunch, and set up camp. In the afternoon, you have the option of hiking up the escarpment to Green Point (1 h return) for magnificent vistas back to the Three Sisters and across the Bay to Fundy National Park, or you could go out kayaking again with your guide and explore more of the magnificent coastline. You land again for dinner on the beach facing west – perfect for the sunset.

Day 2

The next morning, you will have breakfast at leisure, pack up camp, paddle along the beautiful coastline once more, and get back to the launch spot in the early afternoon.

Stay overnight at Seal Cove and marvel at the tides

The tides change the scenery dramatically, and it is great to spend a whole tide cycle by the Bay – have the water almost lapping at your tent’s doorstep and wake up to a huge beach with quite a walk to the water’s edge.

Meals – all included

We provide healthy, tasty & carefully prepared meals. Most ingredients are either home-grown in our own garden, home-baked, or provided by the local fishermen. We strive to be sustainable, say no to single-use plastic and bake and cook with organic ingredients. We cater to all dietary restrictions. Please notify us in advance.

How to use this calendar

This calendar gives you an idea of which overnight tours are running when. You can book onto an existing trip if there are enough spaces left for your party. You can also fill in the calendar gaps, which means you can choose your own dates as long as no other trip is interfering with those dates. We are usually not able to run parallel or overlapping trips, but it won't hurt checking with us. If certain dates are not available for online booking, please contact us per email, chat or phone.
