Terms and Conditions

1. Bookings

You can book your tour or guest room either online or by calling us with your credit card information. According to our Terms and Conditions, full payment is due upon booking. Please book your tour ahead of time. Bookings are essential due to the logistics of the tour. Walk-ins the same day can be impossible to accommodate. Please call for bookings that are made less than 24 hrs before tour start to make sure we have received your booking and are preparing for your participation in the tour. Nova Scotia charges 15 % HST (sales tax), which will be added to the tour price. We will accommodate most dietary restrictions. Please notify us of any upon booking.

2. Cancellation Policy

According to our Terms and Conditions, you can cancel the Three Sisters Day Tour until 48 hrs before tour start. The cancellation period for our overnight tours is until 30 days before tour start. This applies to tours such as the Seal Cove Adventure (2-day-tour) and the Cape Chignecto Experience (3-day-tour). The cancellation period for our guest room is until 7 days before your stay. Cancelling before these time periods are reached  only incurs a 10 % administrative fee after tax. To avoid this fee, you can move your booking free of charge or turn it into a gift certificate. Gift certificates are non-refundable and do not expire. Cancelling within the above stated no-cancellation period or not showing up incurs full payment – even in the event of a medical issue or family circumstance. Moving your booking might not be possible once within the no-cancellation period as tours may book up. 

3. Rain or Shine Policy

The kayaking tours run rain or shine. We do cancel in case the forecast predicts strong winds as the area we paddle in is exposed. If NovaShores has to cancel a tour due to weather, 100 % of the tour price will be refunded. Please note that if a kayak tour has to be cancelled due to weather, your guest room booking will not be affected, and the cancellation period of until 7 days before your stay still applies.
 

4. Refunds

A 90 % refund will be granted if you cancel your tour or guest room within the cancellation period (see Cancellation Policy above). If NovaShores has to cancel a tour for any reason, 100 % of the tour price will be refunded unless you would like to move to a different, available, date instead or turn your booking into a non-refundable gift certificate.
 

5. Assumption of Risk / Indemnity Waivers

Please fill in and sign our indemnity waivers at the office upon check-in for your kayaking tour. One waiver has to be signed for each person including minors. All checkboxes have to be checked in order to participate in the tour. You assume all risk involved in participating in the tour. Minors have to be accompanied by an adult. Please make sure that if you are taking minors on the tour who are not yours, a legal parent or guardian signs the indemnity waivers beforehand. We are happy to email you copies of the indemnity waivers.
